Berry Zinger Healing Smoothie Bowl

During the months of October - March, I typically have an aversion to anything RAW or COLD, especially smoothies.  My body craves warming, cooked, cozy, snuggle up next to a fire in my sweat pants kind of food. So.. when my partner and love came down with a cold this past week I have gorged him with ACV/Tumeric/Ginger elixers, doused him in Essential Oils, and provided enough bone broth and tea to make anyone want a smoothie. So, when he asked me for a smoothie, I obliged. The healer in me wondered how many super-healing foods can I get into this bowl of greatness. This is the EASIEST way for anyone to sneak greens or healing foods into anyones gut and have them smiling about it.  Without further ado, here is the creation that I am 'fingers crossed' hoping makes all his sickness go away. :)

Berry Zinger Healing Smoothie Bowl

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup frozen or fresh assorted berries. I used raspberries, blueberries and blackberries. LOADED with antioxidants. 
  • 1 cup frozen cranberries.. more antioxidants and powerhouse healing agents
  • 1 cup fresh spinach...sneaky greens but loaded with Chlorophyll, Protein, Vitamins and more.
  • 1 frozen banana... potassium and vitamin C
  • 1 cup orange juice, fresh squeezed... more vitamin C
  • 1/2 cup coconut water...more potassium and hydrating properties
  • 1 tsp of Reishi.. the queen healer of mushrooms
  • 1 tsp pearl powder.. well because. 
  • a small handful of fresh mint leaves.. for nausea and headaches + digestion 
  • 3 drops doTERRA Ginger Essential Oil. *important that you are only digesting CTPG oils only*
  • 1 tablespoon of Flax seeds, omega 3, protein, fiber, B1, Selenium and more. 
  • 1 tablespoon Hemp seeds, Omega 3-6, perfect protein, soluble and insoluble fiber
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • dollop of local bee honey (optional)

toppings:

  • fresh berries
  • local bee pollen 
  • hemp seeds
  • mint
  • coconut shreds, cacao nibs, etc.

Instructions:

  1. Blend all ingredients in a high speed blender, such as a vitamix
  2. Poor into desired smoothie bowl
  3. Top with desired toppings and enjoy!
